I worked on PR, graphic design, social media and influencer relations for Ponycon 2017 in Long Branch, NJ. Our communications strategy involved using new social media graphics and promotions every day to engage fans and drive ticket sales. Within one week, I increased Ponycon's engagement on Twitter by 100% with a corresponding boost in ticket sales. We purchased an email blast and social media posts from a top local blogger who runs a site about events for kids and families. To drive organic impressions, I submitted the convention as an event to over 20 local calendar pages and sent a press release to the local media.
